WHY #NOSOLONET EXISTS

Nobody should be stuck at home just because they don't have somebody to go do stuff with.

You know when you really want to go do something, but nobody you know is free or into it? That’s the whole reason #noSoloNet exists.

Give people a real reason to meet

I came up with #noSoloNet after I moved to San Diego in 2017. I had a mountain bike, camping gear, rappelling gear, a blue kayak, a skateboard, roller blades, and a bunch of martial arts and workout equipment. I was living in a place with all kinds of cool stuff to do, but I was new there and didn’t have anybody to do any of it with. I just felt stuck.

I like coding as a hobby, so I decided to build the site I wished was already there: a simple place to say what I wanted to do and find somebody nearby who wanted to do it too.

“Start with what you want to do. Find somebody who wants to do it too. Then go do the thing.”
WHAT I WANT THIS TO BE

Stop sitting things out.

No more scrolling, put the phone down and go do something.

01

No more empty promises

Take “we should do that sometime” and give it a real place, time, and plan.

02

Keep it activity-first

Start with something people actually want to do.

03

Make meeting less awkward

You don't have to force small talk or chit-chat, just have fun and it'll happen.

04

Give people a platform.

Adult-only accounts, privacy choices, blocking, reporting, and practical safety guidance all matter.

THE #NOSOLONET PROMISE

Not dating. Not follower counts. Not endless scrolling.

Just fun and maybe new friends.
